WARNINGS
In case of inflammation or infection in non-urological sites, for example in case of influenza, more leukocytes than usual are excreted in the urine.
Antibiotics containing imipenem, meropenem and clavulanic acid as active ingredients may cause false positives. Antibiotics containing cephalexin and gentamicin may cause false negatives.
Testing within 3 days of antibiotic treatment may give a false negative.
Always store the test strips tightly closed in their container and stored in a cool (below 25°), not cold (above 2°), dry place and away from sunlight. If they appear discolored or if they spontaneously change from the basic color, they may have expired or have received too much air and humidity.
