Benactiv Throat Orange is an over-the-counter analgesic drug based on flurbiprofen indicated to relieve sore throat and associated cough, providing lasting relief for up to 6 hours.
Benactiv Gola Arancia combines flurbiprofen, a pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory active ingredient, with the emollient action of a lozenge. It penetrates from the surface to the deepest layers of the throat tissue and fights the irritative-inflammatory states of the oropharynx, also associated with pain, such as gingivitis, pharyngitis and stomatitis.
Benactiv Gola Arancia does not contain gluten and can also be taken by celiac subjects.
Dosage and method of use of Benactiv Throat Lozenges Orange
It is recommended to take 1 tablet of Benactiv Gola every 3-6 hours as needed and dissolve it slowly in the mouth.
The dose of 8 tablets of Benactiv Gola should not be exceeded within 24 hours.
Do not use the product beyond 7 days of treatment. If after 3 days symptoms persist and no improvement is seen, contact your doctor.
Prolonged use of the product can lead to sensitization and local irritation. In this case, immediately suspend the treatment and notify the doctor.

Active ingredient: flurbiprofen 8.75 mg
Other components : sucrose, glucose, macrogol 300, potassium hydroxide, orange flavour, menthol.
Contraindications Benactiv Throat Lozenges Orange
Benactiv Gola Pastiglie Orange is contraindicated in certain subjects, including:
- Children under 12 years old
- Patients hypersensitive to the active substance or to other NSAIDs
- Patients who have had intestinal bleeding
- Patients with active or history of ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, recurrent peptic ulcer, heart failure
- Pregnant women in the third trimester of pregnancy. In the first two trimesters and while breastfeeding, warn your doctor before taking

The undesirable effects of Benactiv Gola that can occur locally are:
- Itching, irritation, contact dermatitis, associated pain.
Generally these effects disappear with discontinuation of treatment.
Systemic side effects:
- Anaphylaxis
- Angioedema
- Allergic reactions
- Visual disturbances
- Optic neuritis
- Drowsiness
- Tinnitus
- Gastrointestinal disorders (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, hematemesis, intestinal bleeding)
- Stevens-Johnson syndrome (acute hypersensitivity reaction involving the skin and mucous membranes)
- NET and erythema
- Kidney failure
Interactions between Benactiv Throat Lozenges Orange and other medicines
Be careful you are taking the following medications. In that case, contact your doctor.
- Aspirin: the interaction between flurbiprofen and aspirin is not recommended because it could increase the possible manifestation of side effects
- Antiplatelet agents and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs): potential risk of gastrointestinal bleeding
- Corticosteroids: Increased risk of gastrointestinal ulceration or bleeding with NSAIDs.
- Cox-2 inhibitors and other NSAIDs: the simultaneous use of other NSAIDs, including selective cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitors, should be avoided due to possible additive effects

How to store Benactiv Throat Lozenges Orange?
Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the package. Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep the medicine out of the reach of children.
