WARNINGS

Warnings Tamarine 8% + 0.39% jam 260g jar - About Tamarine 8% + 0.39% jam 260g jar it is important to know that:

Warnings The abuse of laxatives (frequent or prolonged use or with excessive doses) can cause persistent diarrhea with consequent loss of water, mineral salts (especially potassium) and other essential nutritional factors. In the most serious cases, dehydration or hypokalemia may occur, which can cause cardiac or neuromuscular dysfunction, especially in the case of simultaneous treatment with cardiac glycosides, diuretics or corticosteroids. The abuse of laxatives, especially contact laxatives (stimulant laxatives), can cause dependence (and, therefore, the possible need to gradually increase the dosage), chronic constipation and loss of normal intestinal functions (intestinal atony). Precautions for use The treatment of chronic or recurrent constipation always requires the intervention of a doctor for diagnosis, prescription of drugs and monitoring during therapy. Consult your doctor when the need for a laxative arises from a sudden change in previous bowel habits (frequency and characteristics of bowel movements) lasting more than two weeks or when the use of a laxative fails to produce any effect. It is also advisable for elderly or unhealthy subjects to consult their doctor before using the medicine. Tamarine contains sucrose. Patients with rare hereditary problems of fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency should not take this medicine . Tamarine contains sodium methyl parahydroxybenzoate. May cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed). Tamarine contains less than 1 mmol sodium (23 mg) per dose (1 teaspoon) , that is to say essentially 'sodium-free'.

INTERACTIONS

Interactions Tamarine 8% + 0.39% jam 260g jar - Which medicines or foods can modify the effect of Tamarine 8% + 0.39% jam 260g jar?

Laxatives may reduce the residence time in the intestine, and therefore the absorption, of other drugs administered orally at the same time. Therefore, avoid taking laxatives and other drugs at the same time: after taking a medicine, leave an interval of at least 2 hours before taking the laxative. Milk or antacids may modify the effect of the medicine; leave an interval of at least one hour before taking the laxative. Concomitant use of other drugs that induce hypokalemia (e.g. diuretics, adrenocorticosteroids and liquorice) may increase electrolyte imbalance. Hypokalemia (resulting from abuse of laxatives taken for a long time) potentiates the action of cardiac glycosides and interferes with antiarrhythmic drugs, with other drugs that induce a return to sinus rhythm (quinidine) and with drugs that induce prolongation of the QT interval.
